The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano. Hamish Jenkinson, The Old Vic Tunnels' Artistic Director and Douglas Mclannet, its Administrative Director, flew in from London to attend the Sept. 6th premiere of "Damascus Square" at the United Nations. In front of a VIP crowd of Ambassadors, producer Richard Frankel, Ira and Inge Rennert, among others, Hamish took the stage post performance and said that the Old Vic Tunnels is committed to staging "Damascus Square" in the coming season.
A concert of the new musical "Damascus Square" will be performed at the United Nations on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 5:30 pm.

Now according to the New York Times, the show is still 'pursuing a possible Broadway transfer.' Producer Joey Parnes is currently working to bring the show to Broadway in late winter or spring of 2013.

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Broadway veteran Paris Remillard has temporarily joined the cast of The Public Theater's INTO THE WOODS as 'Rapunzel's Prince.' Remillard is filling in for Cooper Grodin, who has been out of the show because of appendicitis. A Public Theater representative revealed that Grodin 'will be back very soon.'
