The celebrated musical RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S Cinderella, originally written for television in 1957 by the legendary musical theatre duo Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, opened on March 3, at the Broadway Theatre. The company of RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S CINDERELLA will enter the studio on March 18 to preserve the Original Broadway Cast Recording for Ghostlight Records. The Broadway premiere of the beloved romantic musical - currently running at the Broadway Theater - has been hailed as "Resplendent with a radiant score" by the Wall Street Journal, "Pure Magic" by the Associated Press and "A full-on romantic fantasy" by the New York Post. RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S CINDERELLA has music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, a new book by Douglas Carter Beane and original book by Oscar Hammerstein II. The musical is directed by Mark Brokaw. Josh Rhodes is choreographer. Music adaptation, supervision and arrangements are by David Chase. Andy Einhorn is music director and conductor.

The evening was a celebration of the company's artistic achievements under Artistic Director Todd Haimes' 30 years of leadership and the future ahead. BroadwayWorld.com was there to capture the stars as they arrived for a great night of entertainment!

While this pseudo-revival of Cinderella teeters between contemporary dialogue and classic songs ('A Lovely Night,' 'In My Own Little Corner,' 'Ten Minutes Ago,' etc.), the romantic choreography seems to transcend time.

Charlie Rosen's Broadway Big Band will return to the New York stage on Saturday, March 30th at 54 Below. The 11pm concert, co-produced and directed by Max Friedman, will feature a host of Broadway talent.

Roundabout Theatre Company hosts its 2013 Spring Gala, featuring a one-night-only musical tribute, emceed by Alan Cumming (Cabaret), with Roundabout's favorite leading ladies: Laura Benanti (Nine), Stephanie J. Block (The Mystery of Edwin Drood), Jane Krakowski (Nine) and Laura Osnes (Anything Goes), with a special appearance by LaChanze & Charlotte d'Amboise (Company).

On Monday, April 29, The New York Pops marks its 30th birthday with a grand gala evening honoring the musical talents of songwriters Frank Loesser and Jule Styne, and the centennial of legendary entertainer Danny Kaye. Paula Zahn, host of NYC ARTS on PBS, will host the evening.
