On February 4, 'Call Me Maybe' singer Carly Rae Jepsen will replace Laura Osnes as the title role in Rodgers & Hammerstein's CINDERELLA, currently playing at the Broadway Theatre. Producers David Mirvish and Barry & Fran Weissler just announced that the Tony Award-winning Best Musical TITANIC, with music and lyrics by Maury Yeston and book by Peter Stone, will finally have its Canadian premiere in a brand new production directed by Thom Southerland. TITANIC will play a six-week engagement at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto, from July 22 through August 31. TITANIC will then berth on Broadway in the Fall of 2014.

'Call Me Maybe' singer Carly Rae Jepsen to replace Tony nominee Laura Osnes in Rodgers & Hammerstein's CINDERELLA, currently playing on Broadway. Jepsen will step into the role on Feb. 4 for a limited 12-week run. Jepsen began performing in musical theater in high school, starring in Annie, The Wiz and Grease before attending the Canadian College of Performing Arts. 'It was essentially musical theater training with studies in singing, dancing and acting,' said Jepsen. 'My favorite part of the school year was our trip to New York, where we met Broadway performers and toured the theaters.'
Canadian singer/songwriter Jepsen has taken America by storm after bursting onto the scene in the US with her hit single 'Call Me Maybe.' The producers of the hit musical CINDERELLA on Broadway announce new cast members who will join the company in the coming weeks: starting January 28, Joe Carroll begins performances as Prince Topher, taking over the role from original cast member and Tony Award nominee Santino Fontana, who concludes his year-long run in the musical. Also beginningJanuary 28, Todd Buonopane will replace original cast member Greg Hildreth as the rebel Jean-Michel; and CINDERELLA ensemble member Stephanie Gibson will replace Marla Mindelle as stepsister Gabrielle. On January 21, Tony Award winner Victoria Clark will return as Cinderella's Fairy Godmother Marie, which she originated and for which she received a Tony Award nomination. Tony nominee Rebecca Luker has performed the role of Marie since September.
