Hull Truck Theatre and Hull UK City of Culture 2017 today announce the cast for the world premi re of The Last Testament of Lillian Bilocca, a new production written by Maxine Peake, with an original live score by folk's finest The Unthanks - especially for season four of Hull 2017.

We're following the roguish Sir John Hotham, Governor of Hull and MP for Beverley as he tries to sense which way the wind is blowing on the eve of the English Civil War.

The Skriker is commissioned and produced by Manchester International Festival and the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester. Maxine Peake will play the eponymous role and Juma Sharkah and Laura Elsworthy will play Lily and Josie respectively in The Skriker at Manchester International Festival. Kenneth Branagh's highly-anticipated New York stage debut in an immersive and visceral staging of Macbeth at the Park Avenue Armory officially opened last night, June 5. Branagh is a five time Academy Award nominee and will be making his NY stage-debut in this production.
