Due to overwhelming demand, the producers of the Off-Broadway smash, RUTHLESS! The Musical, today put a new block of seats on sale through September 10th.

10-year-old Abigail Harrison, who currently understudies Tori Murray in the award-winning musical smash RUTHLESS!, is set to perform at the 5th annual 'Tunes in Times Square' charity event on Sunday, May 1.

When you consider how many hundreds of small muscular contractions are involved, the fact that most people can instinctively use their breathing muscles, vocal folds, and filters for speaking is pretty remarkable. This is in large part thanks to our brain, which takes care of a lot of bodily functions so we don't need to be consciously aware of them. Unfortunately, our voices' ability to run on autopilot may leave us thinking that our voice is operated by some sort of magical element, leaving us unaware of harmful habits. Because most people never get a chance to see how their voice operates in an MRI or through a stroboscopy, it is very easy for us to accept misinformation about how the voice works. This is understandable - if you'd never seen under the hood of a car, you'd probably have difficulty picturing how that works, too!

Make way! There's a new King in town. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Tony Award-nominee Rory O'Malley will reign as King George in the Broadway musical Hamilton starting today, April 11 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 W. 46 St). Jonathan Groff (Tony Award-Nominee) played his final performance on Saturday, April 9 to begin filming the lead role in David Fincher's new drama series for Netflix entitled 'Mindhunter.'

But, be forewarned: the altogether too-brief run is close to selling out, so securing your reservations for the rollicking mystery should be at the top of your "to-do" list.

There are some conflicting opinions among singing teachers about how much you really need to know about the biological mechanics of making sound.  Although it is true that you don't need to be an expert mechanic to drive a car, you are a more independent and a much safer driver if you know basics of car maintenance, like how to check oil and tire pressure, before you set off on a marathon road trip.  Also, knowing what a car should feel like when you are driving safely in gear will alert you to much bigger problems earlier on, and save a lot on new transmissions!  This is a case where I think a little vetted information goes a long way in preventing injury and expediting progress.

Off-Broadway's award-winning Ruthless! The Musical wants to make Good Friday even gooder! (We really should stay in school.) There will be a special added performance tomorrow, Good Friday, at 8 PM. By popular demand, the production recently put a new block of seats on sale through June 18th. RUTHLESS! opened on July 13, 2015 to unanimous rave reviews led by Entertainment Weekly which called the show, 'Uproarious! A mash-up of THE BAD SEED, GYPSY, ALL ABOUT EVE, plus the films of Douglas Sirk and John Waters!' RUTHLESS! recently received the coveted 2015 Odyssey Nightlife Award for Best Off Broadway Show, and actor Paul Pecorino was honored for Best Breakthrough Off Broadway Performance.

NOW That's What I Call Music!, the world's best-selling multi-artist album series, has announced that they are set to release their first ever NOW That's What I Call Broadway! on Friday, April 29, 2016. The album will feature 18 music tracks from the original cast recordings of some of the Great White Way's most legendary shows. The album features liner notes by David Cote, theater editor for Time Out New York as well as a playwright and librettist/lyricist.
