Atlanta's Broadway dreams will come true for the 5th consecutive summer when THE BROADWAY DREAMS FOUNDATION (BDF) presents their acclaimed Summer Performing Arts Intensive Monday, June 7 through Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre (2800 Cobb Galleria Parkway, Marietta, GA), Atlanta's premiere entertainment venue.

The premiere of the 2010 CMT MUSIC AWARDS on Wednesday, June 9 scored with 3.04 million total viewers, making it the most-watched awards premiere in channel history. According to Nielsen Media Research, the two-and-a-half hour show scored a 1.42 rating among P18-49, up 19 percent over last year with an average 1.5 million viewers in the key demo. The show's performance from 8-10:30 p.m. drove CMT to become the most-watched network in the time period across cable with P18-49 and W18-49 impressions. More than 10.8 million viewers cumulative* tuned in for all related CMT Music Awards programming, including the live Red Carpet show and encore.

The New York Times reports today that the Tony Award statuette has grown up for 2010. Where the statue used to be 3 1/4 inches tall, weighing in at a 1 1/2 pounds, this year's prize is larger by almost double: standing 5 inches high and weighing 3 1/2 pounds.

The Tony Awards today announced the full line-up of presenters and performers who are scheduled to take the stage at the 64th Annual Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Voting begins today for the 2010 CMT MUSIC AWARDS, country music's only fan-voted award show, with the announcement of this year's first round finalists. She is most familiar to Broadway audiences for originating the roles of Elle Woods in Legally Blonde: The Musical, and Amber Von Tussle in the Tony Award winning musical, Hairspray, as well as a stint as Glinda in the smash hit, Wicked.

Costa Mesa Playhouse and Broadway Knights are pleased to present an "Audition Intensive" musical theatre workshop conducted by Broadway stars Megan Hilty (Wicked and 9 to 5) and Steve Kazee (Spamalot and 110 in the Shade) on Saturday, June 26, 2010 from Noon to 4 pm at the Costa Mesa Playhouse, 661 Hamilton Street in Costa Mesa.

This August, from the 18th through the 21st, the Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) will host its Summer Performing Arts Intensive in Philadelphia! During the intensive, attendees will receive first-rate training in acting, dance and vocal performance daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. by savvy Broadway veterans who will share their invaluable insider knowledge on the skills needed to make it in show business. Students will also learn how to improve their audition skills (song selections and cold readings) and attend classes geared toward college and career planning (headshots and resumes). At week's end, all participants will have the opportunity to perform alongside their Broadway idols in a 'one night only' concert event. Tony-winner Alice Ripley (Next To Normal) will participate as the guest teacher for the intensive.
