A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE to Open at The City Theatre, 7/25

The City Theatre continues its summer season with the Tennessee Williams American classic, A Streetcar Named Desire, which revolutionized modern drama and is still an undisputed masterpiece from one of the great voices of the American theatre. Directed by Jeff Hinkle and starring Rachel McGinnis Meissner and Tim Brown, the production runs July 25 - August 18, 2013.

Different Stages continues its 2012 - 2013 season with Emlyn Williams's classic mystery Night Must Fall. In a bungalow in a forest in Essex lives Mrs. Bramson, a fussy hypochondriac. She pays her niece Olivia a small salary to act as her companion and the household also includes her cook, Mrs. Terence, and her maid Dora. When Dora gets pregnant, Mrs. Bramson is determined to get the boyfriend to marry her. At the same time, a woman disappears from a nearby hotel. The police begin investigations and, when Dora brings home her boyfriend Dan, Olivia immediately notices that his behavior is not quite normal. He is perpetually putting on an act and soon he worms his way into the affections of Mrs. Bramson, leaves his job as pageboy at the hotel and moves in. Then the woman's body is found - headless...

BWW Reviews: Capital T Theatre Explores a Dysfunctional Friendship with GRUESOME PLAYGROUND INJURIES

We've all had one at one point in our life. That one friend who we know we probably shouldn't have in our life that for some reason has burrowed his or her way in and just won't leave, probably because for some inexplicable reason we don't want them to. That type of unhealthy friendship is at the core of Capital T's production of Gruesome Playground Injuries, a highly entertaining and engrossing dramedy about the friends we just can't shake.
