New York Stage and Film's 2010 season kick-off with a meet and greet of the cast and creative team of We Are Here. The show premieres on June 29, 2010 at Vassar College's Powerhouse Theatre.

Vassar & New York Stage and Film is pleased to announce the cast of the world premiere play WE ARE HERE (June 29 - July 11) by Tracy Thorne, directed by Tony nominee Sheryl Kaller (Next Fall), the first of two fully-staged and designed Powerhouse Mainstage productions for the 2010 season.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) begins performances for Top Secret: The Battle for the Pentagon Papers tonight, Wednesday, February 24 at 8pm. The Boomerang Theatre Company debuted The Legacy Reading Series, a new annual event featuring readings of plays from past seasons, last week to benefit the company. The series is intended to celebrate past works, while giving new audiences a chance to experience them. All proceeds from The Legacy Series are intended benefit Boomerang new play development programs.

Amy Acker and Larry Pine have been announced for the upcoming reading of THE MONSTER TALES by Mary Jett Parsley Wrenn. The reading will be a part of Boomerang Theatre Company's new Legacy Reading Series and will take place February 1st at 7:00pm at The Actors Company Theatre.

Theatre stars Dee Hoty, Jenn Colella and Vince Gatton join the previously announced Amy Acker and Larry Pine in The Boomerang Theatre Company's reading of THE MONSTER TALES by Mary Jett Parsley Wrenn on February 1st, 2010. Cailin Heffernan will helm the event.

According to the New York Times, the New York Theater Workshop has announced a project being developed by 'South Park' creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. The two are working with composer Robert Lopez, who won a Tony Award for AVENUE Q. The team is working to create a musical that will run at the New York Theater Workshop from August thru September.

The twice extended production, directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes will play its final performance on Sunday, December 13 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).
