THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has broken the house record in Richmond, VA for the week ending November 9 the Altria Theater grossing $1,808,480.00.

On Thursday, November 6th it was announced that Cafe Edison in Times Square is being denied a new lease by The Hotel Edison management. The diner -- which has served as a hub for the Broadway community for more than 30 years -- is expected to close at the end of the year. The story has sparked an outpouring of support from the Broadway community and New Yorkers at large, as well as produced a widely circulated online petition. Among the signees -- numbered at 6,357 supporters (as of 6:30 p.m. on Nov 11) -- are stars Glenn Close, Martha Plimpton, Christine Pedi, Karen Mason, Mary Testa, Joey Parnes, Rob McClure, Teal Wicks, Mamie Parris, Michael Cerveris, Sean Connery, Marc Shaiman, and more. Tony Award winner Priscilla Lopez, who appeared in the legendary original cast of A Chorus Line and was also a replacement for the role of "Fastrada" in the original production of Pippin in 1973, will re-join the all-new Tony Award winning production of Pippin in the role of "Berthe" beginning tonight, Tuesday, November 11. Lucie Arnaz played her final performance in the role on Sunday, November 9 and has rejoined the US national tour. Pippin is now playing through Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street).

The producers of the Tony-winning revival of PIPPIN have announced that Kyle Dean Massey will assume the role of Pippin beginning November 4 at the Hollywood Pantages in Los Angeles. PIPPIN makes its Washington, D.C., premiere at the National Theatre December 16 through January 4, with Massey in the role.

The Nederlander Organization and the producers of the Tony Winning revival of PIPPIN have announced that Kyle Dean Massey will assume the role of Pippin beginning Tuesday, Nov 4th at the Hollywood Pantages in Los Angeles. He will be replacing Matthew James Thomas who takes his final bow on Sunday, November 2nd.

Here, the over-the-top performance troupe that 'guides' our hero's search for self-fulfillment aren't merely just actors (or 'players') but are also all agile, athletic circus performers that tumble, leap, and balance themselves for our (and Pippin's) entertainment pleasure.
