Goodspeed Musicals Holds Annual Food Drive to Benefit Local Food Bank, 11/21

On Monday, November 21, Goodspeed Musicals will hold their Annual Food Drive to benefit the East Haddam Food Bank. Goodspeed will be collecting donations in the hopes that they will have another record-breaking year for participation. The need is great this year as the number of households served by the East Haddam Food Bank has more than tripled in the past couple of years.

Blue Hill Troupe, Ltd. (www.bht.org), the only musical theater group in New York City to donate its net proceeds to charity, launches its 88th season with the musical farce A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. With a score by Stephen Sondheim and book by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart, Forum will run from October 28 through November 5, 2011 at Theatre at St. Clement's, 423 West 46th Street.

Scott Rudin Developing 'The Corrections' HBO Series

Successful film, television and theatre producer Scott Rudin is set to add another project to HBO, reports Variety. 'The Corrections,' based on the bestselling novel of the same name, is under development with Rudin and filmmaker Noah Baumbach; author Jonathan Franzen is also attached to produce and adapt his novel for the series.
