FREEZE FRAME: Audra McDonald and LADY DAY AT EMERSON'S BAR AND GRILL Company Meet the Press!

Five-time Tony winner Audra McDonald will return to the stage as legendary songstress Billie Holliday in a revival of Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill. The show will open at the Circle in the Square Theatre on April 13 for a limited 10-week run. Performances will begin on March 25. TV: It's Puppy Playtime! Audra McDonald Hunts for a LADY DAY Pooch

The Broadway premier production of Lanie Robertson's Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill is on the search for a small dog to perform with five-time Tony Award-winner Audra McDonald as the show has a dog written into it. The producers of the show have been looking for submissions for a small dog to be cast in the show and actual callbacks were held yesterday, March 11th at the Circle in the Square Theatre (1633 Broadway). Audra McDonald and Broadway animal trainer Bill Berloni were on hand to judge selected finalists and BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge was there to chat with the whole gang. Palm Beach Dramaworks celebrates its fifteenth anniversary with a lineup of illustrious plays, beginning on October 10 with Thornton Wilder's Pultizer Prize-winning Our Town, and continuing with Israel Horovitz's My Old Lady, the Christopher Hampton adaptation of Pierre Choderlos de Laclos's Les Liaisons Dangereuses, and Sam Shepard's Pulitzer Prize-winning Buried Child, and Lanie Robertson's Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill. All performances are at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre (201 Clematis Street).

Confirmed: Talks Underway to Bring Audra McDonald Back to Broadway in LADY DAY AT EMERSON'S BAR AND GRILL

BroadwayWorld.com has learned that talks are indeed currently underway with five-time Tony winner Audra McDonald to bring her back to the stage as legendary songstress Billie Holliday in a revival of Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill. The show will reportedly play at the Circle in the Square Theatre, where current occupant Bronx Bombers will close on March 2, 2014. An official announcement has not yet been made, but sources tell us that a deal, dates and release is 'imminent.'

Skidmore Theater to Present BACK COUNTY CRIMES, Begin. 11/15

The Skidmore College Department of Theater is pleased to announce its Fall 2013 production, BACK COUNTY CRIMES, directed by guest director Dave Demke. Performances are November 15-17 and November 22-24, 2013. All shows are in the Janet Kinghorn Bernhard Theater on the Skidmore College campus at 8:00pm except Sunday matinees at 2pm.
