Fans of five-time Tony Award-winning Broadway superstar Audra McDonald now have an early chance to get a first look at her upcoming Broadway return in the Billie Holiday biomusical LADY DAY AT EMERSON'S BAR & GRILL via a new behind the scenes promotional featurette now available to view.

The official description of Audra McDonald in LADY DAY AT EMERSON'S BAR & GRILL is as follows: "Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill recounts Holiday's life story through the songs that made her famous. In 1959, in a small, intimate bar in Philadelphia, Holiday puts on a show that unbeknownst to the audience, will leave them witnesses to one of the last performances of her lifetime. Through her poignant voice and moving songs, one of the greatest jazz singers of all-time shares her loves and her losses."

Of note, the classic song selections in the show include "God Bless the Child," "What a Little Moonlight Can Do," "Strange Fruit," and "Taint Nobody's Biz-ness".

LADY DAY AT EMERSON'S BAR & GRILL was written by Lanie Robertson and is directed by Lonny Price.

LADY DAY AT EMERSON'S BAR & GRILL is scheduled to begin previews on March 25 with opening night set for April 13.
