The New York Times has confirmed that THE ORPHAN'S HOME CYCLE will aim for a fall 2010 Broadway opening, as opposed to rushing the show in this spring, as we previously speculated. While the show had the opportunity to transfer from its current home Off-Broadway at the Signature Theatre into the Neil Simon Theatre on Broadway for a spring opening, the producers and director Michael Wilson have opted to take the extra time to better prepare the show for the move.

According to Deadline.com, Jeff Daniels is collaborating with Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip's Timothy Busfield, for a new Showtime series entitled, Happily Ever After. Daniels has written the script for the series' pilot, and he will also star in the show as a factory worker turned musician. The potential pilot will be directed by Bushfield.

Frank Bayer, whose long career in theatre included stints as actor and stage manager on Broadway and as casting director and production supervisor at the Center Theatre Group in Los Angeles, died on September 22, 2010. He was born June 29, 1936, in Brazil, Indiana.

The Language Archive will begin previews on Friday, September 24th and open officially on Sunday, October 17th, 2010 at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street). This is a limited engagement through Sunday, December 19th, 2010.

On Monday September 20, 2010, the IT Awards (New York Innovative Theatre Awards), the organization dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, and host Lisa Kron, announced the 2010 recipients at the Sixth Annual IT Awards Ceremony at Cooper Union.

Lisa Kron, actress and member of the Five Lesbian Brothers, returns to host the Sixth Annual New York Innovative Theatre Awards (the IT Awards), in a ceremony dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway.
