Adult Swim announced today that it has picked up a fourth season of Childrens Hospital, the irreverent, satirical comedy series created by and starring Rob Corddry (Hot Tub Time Machine, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart). Adult Swim has ordered 14 new episodes for premiere in 2012, and principal photography will begin later this year on the hit comedy from Corddry and fellow executive producers/writers Jonathan Stern (producer of The Ten and NTSF:SD:SUV::) and David Wain (Wet Hot American Summer, Role Models, the upcoming Wanderlust).
Childrens Hospital, a comedy series created by Rob Corddry (Hot Tub Time Machine, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart) and featuring an all-star cast, is based on the Webby Award-winning digital series that debuted on TheWB.com in 2008. Warner Bros. Television Group (WBTVG) is returning to Comic-Con International: San Diego in unprecedented fashion in 2010. A star-studded lineup of performers, producers and other members of the creative teams of a record 14 series from Warner Bros. Television, Warner Horizon Television and Warner Bros. Animation will be on-hand for panel sessions, screenings, media appearances and autograph signings. This will mark the largest contingent of talent from WBTVG ever assembled for the world's leading pop culture convention. (In 2009, WBTVG featured 12 television series at Comic-Con.)
According to published reports, Guys and Dolls alumna Lauren Graham may be joing the cast of Scream 4, which begins production on June 28 in Ann Arbor Michigan. No official statement on her participation has been released.
Variety reports today that Liv Ullmann is confirmed to direct the John Mellencamp/Stephen King musical, The Ghost Brothers of Darkland County. The Swedish actress-director, who most recently made headlines for her direction of the Kate Blanchett-led A Streetcar Names Desire at BAM and The Kennedy Center, announced her participation in Darkland County on a Swedish radio broadcast.
