According to Deadline.com, Broadway veteran Jesse L. Martin has signed on to rprise his role from the pilot of Marc Cherry's 'Hallelujah.' As described by Deadline, 'Martin's talent deal will make him available to reprise his role in the pilot, which tested very well, should the reworked Hallelujah be picked up.'

Martin commented: 'I'm open to it, it's just really hard! You gotta work really hard with musicals. I mean, eight shows a week, it just takes a toll on your whole body and voice so it has to be something I'd be really, really excited about.'

According to EW.com, Broadway veteran Jesse L. Martin is set to star in the pilot of Marc Cherry's latest development, Hallelujah. The show will feature a goaspel choir 'greek chorus' and will take place in Hallelujah, Tennessee. Further details on the pilot have not yet been released.
