As we move into the second half of January (how time flies when you're havin' FUN!), I hope you are making plans to attend some of the upcoming performances that are happening in one of our California Central Coast live performance venues over the next several weeks!

Nashville Symphony is pleased to announce that Ladysmith Black Mambazo will perform at Schermerhorn Symphony Center on Monday, March 14 at 7 p.m. Tickets will go on sale to the public Friday, January 14, at 10 a.m. This concert will be presented without orchestra.

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College announces its 56th season of music, dance, theater, and family programming reflecting the multicultural diversity of Brooklyn. The outstanding line-up features musical artists representing the genres of Latin Jazz, reggae, gospel, Broadway, klezmer, big band, and children's music.

The outstanding line-up features performances from Jamaica, Argentina, Japan, Russia and South Africa as well as the United States, and includes both Brooklyn premieres and returning favorites.

Ravinia Festival's 2010 season opens offering up great variety and more than 50 artist debuts beginning on opening night at 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, with pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii in the Martin Theatre. Blind since birth and a 2009 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition gold-medal winner, 22-year-old Tsujii will present works by Chopin, Schuman and Lizst as well as Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, Ravinia's 2010 One Score, One Chicago selection. Inspired by the Chicago Public Library's One Book, One Chicago, Ravinia's One Score promotes the enjoyment of classical music and creates a cultural touchstone to enable people at different levels of understanding classical music to engage in community-wide discussion of a single masterwork.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust culminates Black History Month with its regular Showcase Noir: African American Artist and Designer Exhibit and Sale and the special presentation of Grammy-award-winning South African a cappella group Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Showcase Noir opens at 11am on Sunday, February 28, in the Byham Theater lobby. Ladysmith Black Mambazo performance closes the evening with their 7 p.m. performance in the theater. Cohen & Grigsby is the season sponsor of the 2009-2010 Trust Presents series.
