Like some of her major inspirations and influences-Sophie Tucker, Patti LuPone, Richard Pryor, John Beluschi and Freddy Mercury-Everett is a true original who has carved out a space in New York City's bustling cabaret, comedy and theater worlds that is all her own. Each edition of The Meeting* honors a different gay icon; the September show will pay tribute to Disco chart-topper Sylvester with special guests Bridget Everett, Ben Rimalower and Xavier.
