The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), one of the world's leading performing-rights organizations, through the past 100 years has been protecting the use of its members' musical works, monitoring broadcast, online and live usage and ensuring that music creators are fairly compensated. In the last five years, ASCAP has distributed more than $5 billion in royalties to its songwriters, composers and music publishers.
2013 Is Record-Breaking Year for RIAA's Gold & Platinum Program

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) added song streams to its Gold & Platinum (G&P) Program in 2013 which helped fuel a record-breaking 663 Digital Single Awards - a 25 percent increase in Digital Single Awards year-over-year and the most in G&P history, according to RIAA's year-end certifications tally.

Skylight Theatre Company has announced the first show of its inaugural season, the world premiere of The Wrong Man. Written and performed by Ross Golan, this unique underground musical about the justice system gone wrong also features Jennifer Brasuell and will be directed and choreographed by Lee Martino. Preview performances of The Wrong Man begin January 25 with opening set for Saturday, February 8 at 8pm. The limited engagement will run through March 2 only.
