Rehearsals are now under way for the highly anticipated West End engagement of The Inheritance, the new play by Matthew Lopez. Sonia Friedman, Tom Kirdahy and Hunter Arnold proudly present the Young Vic production for a strictly limited season in the West End, with previews at the Noel Coward Theatre from Friday 21st September and opening performances on Saturday 13th October.

Producers, Sonia Friedman and Nattering Way announce the West End transfer of the Young Vic production of The Inheritance by Matthew Lopez. Directed by multi Olivier Award winner Stephen Daldry, Lopez's major two-part world premiere will play a strictly limited season at the Noel Coward Theatre, beginning previews on 21st September with an official opening performance on Saturday 13th October.

The Inheritance, Matthew Lopez's witty, brutal two-part epic exploring the lives of gay men in New York clocks in at just short of 7 hours in total, but if you do go and see it, you're (mostly) in for a theatrical treat.

The Young Vic Theatre presents The Inheritance, starring Andrew Burnap, John Benjamin Hickey, Samuel H. Levine, Kyle Soller and Vanessa Redgrave. Joining them is Hugo Bolton, Robert Boulter, Hubert Burton, Syrus Lower, Michael Marcus, Luke Thallon and Michael Walters. Stephen Daldry directs this hilarious and profound heart-breaker - a major world premiere in two parts by New York playwright Matthew Lopez.

The Young Vic Theatre announced the cast of its upcoming production of The Inheritance on Twitter today. Andrew Burnap and John Benjamin Hickey will play the roles of Toby and Henry respectively, whilst Samuel H. Levine and Kyle Soller will join them in the roles of Adam/Leo and Eric. Vanessa Redgrave returns to the Young Vic to play the role of Margaret. Joining them is Hugo Bolton, Robert Boulter, Hubert Burton, Syrus Lower, Michael Marcus, Luke Thallon and Michael Walters.

The Daily Mail has reported that the National Theatre's production of Hedda Gabler, starring Ruth Wilson as the titular character, is currently being considered for a run on the West End.

Ibsen's Hedda has been called the female Hamlet and not just because it's a role that every serious actress wants to play. The blank at the heart of her presents a daunting challenge. Ivo van Hove, one of the world's most exciting directors, makes his National Theatre debut with a modern production of Ibsen's masterpiece.  Press Night for Hedda Gabler is 12 December.  The production will continue in repertoire until 21 March.
