By day, one of the most respected stage directors, actors, writers, and impresarios in Europe; by night, a cabaret chanteuse expunging life's pain and love's agony-this unusual artistic double identity comes together when the director of Festival d'Avignon Olivier Py makes a rare US stage appearance in Olivier Py Sings Les Premiers Adieux de Miss Knife.

The Union Avenue Opera is so good at fulfilling our expectations - our expectations of really fine traditional opera. But once in a while they enjoy surprising us, jerking us out of that normal path. For instance, with 'Trouble in Tahiti' several years ago the orchestra was a jazz trio. Now this splendid little company surprises us again with a lovely production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's 1945 Broadway classic, Carousel. It's the familiar story of a young mill-worker who makes the tragic mistake of falling in love with a rough but beautiful carnival barker.

General Director and CEO Deborah Sandler has announced the selection of the artists for the Resident Artists Program for the 2017-2018 season.

Mad Women in my Attic! The haunting, comedic cabaret show, Mad Women in my Attic! comes to the United Solo Festival on Saturday, October 7th at 4:0 pm. The production played to critical acclaim at the Brighton Fringe and Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2015.

The 81st season of the Brevard Music Center (BMC) Summer Festival comes to its thrilling conclusion with a breathtaking finale weekend-August 3 to August 6-featuring The Best of Gilbert & Sullivan, Dvo?ak's Symphony No 8, Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5, and Verdi's 'Requiem.'

The 81st season of the Brevard Music Center's (BMC) Summer Festival continues to dazzle with an extraordinary schedule of July events, highlighted by classical favorites, a magnetic performance with electric cello, a world premiere piano concerto by a Grammy Award-winning composer, a Tony Award-winning 'Broadway opera,' and Keith Lockhart's final appearances of the 2017 season.

Pantochino Teen Theatre will present the hilarious musical satire, "Urinetown, The Musical" by Mark Hollmann and Greg Kotis for three performances, August 11-13 at the Milford Center for the Arts on Railroad Avenue in Downtown Milford. The show features thirty-two local young actors from 12 to 17 years old in a production sponsored by The Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation.
