GLAAD has announced the launching of the 'Amplify Your Voice' anti-bullying campaign featuring such TV personalities as Chaz Bono, Kristin Chenoweth, Vinny Guadaginino, Rashida Jones, Dustin Lance Black, Sandra Lee, Mario Lopez, Shaquille O'Neal, Amy Poehler, Naya Rivera, Tori Spelling & Dean McDermott, Ariel Winter, and the cast of ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars.

Multi-award winning lyricist Hal David will be honored with a musical tribute, in celebration of his 90th birthday, Monday, October 17, at the Music Center of Los Angeles County. 'Love, Sweet Love' features a star-studded evening of music and dining, benefitting The Blue Ribbon of the Music Center and The ASCAP Foundation. Paul Williams will emcee.

John Bucchino's 'It's Only Life,' featuring the Australian Cast (Christian Cavallo, Phoebe Coupe, Zack Anthony Curran, Madeleine Featherby, Laura Fitzpatrick, Sam Rabbone and Cameron Thomas) with John Bucchino at the piano plays BIRDLAND on Monday, November 14 at 7pm.

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), the nation's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) media advocacy and anti-defamation organization, today announced an initial list of participants in Spirit Day as well as the launch of its 'Amplify Your Voice!' public service announcement (PSA) campaign featuring celebrity talent and young people speaking out against anti-LGBT bullying.

On Tuesday, November 8 at 7:00pm, the New York Festival of Song (NYFOS) presents the first of this season's two-part contemporary music mini-series NYFOS Next with JOSEPH THALKEN & FRIENDS at Mary Flagler Cary Hall in the DiMenna Center for Classical Music. Thalken hosts the evening and curates an hour of new theater music showcasing the songs of two gifted composers Sam Davis and Peter Foley, as well as his own. All three composers will play their own songs from the piano.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) announced today that producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan, will be honored for their work in bringing musical theatre to a worldwide, pop-culture audience at the Eighth Annual Season Awards Gala taking place on Sunday, November 6th at The Hudson Theatre (145 W. 44th Street) beginning at 6:00pm. Neil and Craig are currently represented on Broadway with How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying are currently producing the new NBC television drama 'SMASH' about the behind-the-scenes creation of a Broadway musical. 'SMASH' premieres on NBC on February 6th.

Love, Loss, and What I Wore celebrates its landmark two-year anniversary this week as it welcomes its newest cast!

Last night's GLEE, titled "Asian F" (referring to an A-), was an A+ in almost every respect, managing to pack all the musical power, dramatic pathos, fabulous diva-tude and off-the-wall comedy that made GLEE the international sensation that it is and also push a few buttons over the course of an hour - and make a new star or two of its impossibly talented cast in the process, with that individual walking away - or, should I say, strutting away - with the night undoubtedly being Harry Shum, Jr., thanks in no small part to his premiere solo song sung on the show so far in his two seasons on the show. Indeed, Shum's "Cool" from WEST SIDE STORY was imbued with more choreographic tics and embellishments than even Jerome Robbins could have dreamed up in a week's time to get on film this swiftly and speedily. Besides the ultra-hip-swingin' awesomeness of Shum, last night's GLEE also set in motion a number of plots that will surely be a central focus of this fresh-faced and bold newly focused season - Santana/Brittany's relationship, the new Glee club member arriving next week and Idina Menzel's continuously ingratiating and increasingly impressive arc as Shelby, Rachel (Lea Michele)'s estranged mother, foremost among them. What will next week hold for New Directions? Plus, how did the famous recitative sequence from DREAMGIRLS - "It's All Over" - work outside of the classic r&b musical's context? Did Mercedes (Amber Riley) deliver in true Oscar-winning Effie fashion by taking on Jennifer Hudson's hit single "Spotlight" and making it her own? The 2011 Gay Days at Disneyland are set to take place Friday, September 30 to Sunday, October 2. For its 14th year, the event is expected to attract more than 30,000 LGBT park-hoppers from California and all over the country.
