The winners of the 13th Annual Suzi Bass Awards have been decided!

Leah Calvert is many things, among them a singer-songwriter and in-demand Atlanta-area fiddler and vocalist. Over the years, she has shared the stage with award-winning artists including Amy Ray (Indigo Girls), Kristian Bush (Sugarland) and renowned songwriter Radney Foster.

Bubbly and charming as all hell, from the moment Rita Wilson took the stage at Cafe Carlyle, it was as if there was nowhere else she'd rather be.

Set in 1950s Nashville, Troubadour is a romantic comedy about an unlikely group of friends whose unconventional style changes the course of country music. Troubadour is directed by the Alliance's Jennings Hertz Artistic Director Susan V. Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, has announced the recipients of the second round of the 2016 Edgerton Foundation New Play Awards.

GRAMMY Award-winning recording artist Kristian Bush has penned a set of original songs for Janece Shaffer's new play Troubadour, which will stage its world premiere at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia, January 18-February 12, 2017.

Tickets are on sale today for all the productions in the 2016/17 season for the Alliance Stage, Hertz Stage, Theatre for Youth and Families, and the Kathy and Ken Bernhardt Theatre for the Very Young series.  The 48th season includes seven world premieres, five musicals, five productions by Atlanta playwrights, and exceptional productions for youth and families. 

Country music artists Kristian Bush and Charlie Worsham will appear at the National Press Club in Washington on Wednesday, June 22 for an acoustic performance and press Q&A session around the Country Music Association (CMA) Foundation's Music Education Initiative.
