Singer and recording artist Russ Lorenson brings his award winning tribute to Tony Bennett back to SF for five weeks beginning May 27th at The Eureka Theatre, 215 Jackson Street, San Francisco. Performances are Thursdays & Fridays at 7:30pm, Saturdays at 6:00pm, and Sundays at 3:00pm. Benedetto/Blessed: Celebrating the Life and Music of Tony Bennett, is part of the 2010 Something C.O.O.L. Summer Cabaret Festival.

Last night, May 4, the Board of Directors of the Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs presented the 2010 MAC Awards at B.B. King Blues Club and Grill in Times Square. The awards ceremony and show, produced by Julie Miller and directed by Lennie Watts, was hosted by Sharon McNight. Tracy Stark musical directed. BroadwayWorld celebrated backstage with the evening's winners and participants.

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs has announced that The 24th Annual MAC Awards Show will be held on Tuesday, May 4th at 7:30 PM at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill. MAC will be announcing the winners and handing out awards in 24 categories to honor the best in live performance, recordings, songs and shows in cabaret, jazz, and standup comedy from the past year.

Elaine Stritch, the uniquely sensational actress and singer and star of stage, film, and TV, will be recognized in the category of Extraordinary Cabaret Artist, noting her recent conquests of the cabaret stage.

Second in the series of salons presented by 42nd Street Moon is a tribute to Ira Gershwin. The January 28th salon will be led by Broadway veteran Donna McKechnie. Also joining the cast is Klea Blackhurst, as well as Bill Fahrner, Alexandra Kaprelian and Darlene Popovich.
