Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Inc. (WBHE) and Turner Classic Movies (TCM) are adding four new collections to their TCM Greatest Classic Films line, which spotlights Hollywood's most legendary actors and actresses in classic cinema.

Neil Patrick Harris will return to Broadway in the new production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the musical with book by John Cameron Mitchell and music and lyrics by Stephen Trask, directed by Michael Mayer. The limited engagement, featuring Lena Hall (Kinky Boots, lead singer of The Deafening), will begin previews tomorrow, Saturday, March 29 for a Tuesday, April 22 opening night at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street). Casting has been announced for the world premiere of Kimber Lee's "different words for the same thing," which begins previews May 4 at the Center Theatre Group/Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City. The opening night is May 11 and performances run through June 1, 2014.

Theatre of NOTE announces that it is adding two performances to the first show of its 2014 season, the Los Angeles premiere of disassembly, written by Steve Yockey, (2013 recipient of the LA Weekly Playwriting Award), and directed by Ovation Award-winner Tom Beyer. DISASSEMBLY will add two performances on Friday, March 28 &Saturday, March 29 at 8pm at Theatre of NOTE, 1517 N. Cahuenga Blvd (just north of Sunset) in Hollywood.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre and home of the U.S. Center of the International Theatre Institute (ITI-US), has released Brett Bailey and Diane Rodriguez's World Theatre Day 2014 messages. Each year, a renowned theatre artist of world stature is invited by ITI Worldwide in Paris to craft the International Message, which is then translated into more than 20 languages to mark the global occasion. This year, TCG has renewed their tradition of asking a noted U.S. artist to also reflect on the themes of World Theatre Day.

The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle has announced the winners and special awards for excellence in Los Angeles and Orange County theatre for the year 2013. The 45th Annual Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards ceremony took place Monday, March 17 at the Colony Theatre in Burbank, and was hosted by Nicole Parker.

As part of Artists at Play's mission to present stories of underrepresented communities, they will develop and showcase two new works to the L.A. theatre community. This upcoming event features readings of Marabella by local playwright Boni B.
