All new production photos have been released for the global stage premiere of Studio Ghibli’s My Neighbour Totoro. The production welcomed its first audiences to the Barbican during previews this week and will open officially next Tuesday, 18 October.

The world premiere of the stage adaptation of My Neighbour Totoro has broken the Barbican's box office record for ticket sales in one day. The record had previously been held by Sonia Friedman Production's 2015 production of Hamlet starring Benedict Cumberbatch in the title role.

Akram Khan Company have today announced a brand-new production from the multi award-winning choreographer and dancer Akram Khan. Outwitting the Devil will premiere in Stuttgart in July 2019. The announcement comes six weeks ahead of Until the Lions' homecoming to the Roundhouse in London, Khan's first ever work in the round and one of his most haunting, which he will dance for the last ever time. Both pieces of work will explore old myth and reinterpret them in a contemporary context, in a way that Khan has become renowned for in his career over the last two decades. Brand new images for Until the Lions have also been released today. Outwitting the Devil will premiere at COLOURS International Dance Festival, Stuttgart, running 13-14 July. Until the Lions at the Roundhouse runs from 11 - 17 January 2019. Tickets for Until the Lions are now on sale.

The multidisciplinary festival will feature events presented in six venues across the city, including world, U.S., and New York premieres. The ninth annual international festival will explore transcendence, interior illumination, and the communal impulse as exhibited through artistic expression across continents and centuries.

XENOS is a performance of international significance

Northern Ballet is bringing Hans Christian Andersen's classic fairy tale to Edinburgh on the final leg of its World Premi re tour of The Little Mermaid. Telling the story of a young mermaid who is willing to give up everything she knows in the search for love, the Leeds-based company returns to Edinburgh with performances of this new ballet at Festival Theatre Edinburgh from 22 24 March 2018.

Shakespeare at Notre Dame announces the first United States screening of Kit Monkman's film Macbeth, a bold new interpretation of the classic tragedy filmed entirely on green screens. Macbeth will screen at 8pm on Tuesday, October 24th at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center at the University of Notre Dame. A Q&A with the film's co-writer and Shakespeare advisor, Judith Buchanan, will follow.

???????DIDY VELDMAN has developed an excellent reputation for her expressive, dynamic work for dance companies including Rambert, Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, and Ballet du Grand Theatre de Geneve.  She formed UMANOOVE, her own company, to develop and perform THE HAPPINESS PROJECT which first toured in November 2016 and will tour again in April and May 2017.

Chotto Desh, Akram Khan Company's first piece of dance theater for family audiences, makes its NY Premiere at The New Victory Theater from November 4-13, 2016. Adapted from Khan's much-loved, autobiographical production, DESH (2014 Bessie Award for Outstanding Production, 2012 Olivier Award for Best New Dance Production), Chotto Desh includes a mix of Khan's original choreography alongside new material.
