Cape Rep Theatre presents 9-Ball, by local playwright, Art Devine (author of Winter Wheat and last season's hit new play, The Bottom of the Sky). It runs tonight, June 20 through July 13, 2013. Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7 pm, Todays through Saturdays at 8 pm, Sunday, June 30 at 2 pm. No performances June 25 or July 4. Tickets are $25. Pay-What-You-Can-Night is the first Friday, June 21. Yale Kicks Off Second Writers' Conference Today

After a successful first year, attended by over 110 writers, Yale will host the second annual Yale Writers' Conference, an intensive for committed writers of all ages and all levels of experience, from today, June 10-19th (Session I) and from June 21-23rd (Session II).

Grammy Award-Winning Musician Nelly Writes and Performs Original Song for ESPN's Bowl Coverage

ESPN's exclusive coverage of 33 college football bowl games will feature extensively an original song by two-time Grammy Award-winning musician Nelly. The song, 'The Champ,' was written by Nelly specifically for the network's game and studio shows. It will make its worldwide debut on Saturday, Dec. 17 with an ESPN and ESPN3 tripleheader beginning at 2 p.m. ET with the Gildan's New Mexico Bowl (Temple vs. Wyoming). ESPN's bowl coverage will conclude with the Allstate BCS National Championship (LSU vs. Alabama) on Monday, Jan. 9, at 8:30 p.m.

The world premiere of a new opera production directed by directed by controversial Britrish playwright Mark Ravenhill (who wrote Shopping and F**king) proved too much for one front row audience member who collapsed as one of the actors slashed his wrists last night.
