Beginning performances Tuesday, November 15, Nathaniel Stampley will assume the role of Mister in John Doyle's Tony Award-winning production of the Broadway musical, THE COLOR PURPLE. Isaiah Johnson, who originated the role, will give his final performance on Sunday, November 13.

Beginning performances Tuesday, November 15, CARRIE COMPERE will assume the role of Sofia in John Doyle's Tony Award-winning production of the Broadway musical, THE COLOR PURPLE.  Tony nominee DANIELLE BROOKS, who originated the role, will give her final performance on Sunday, November 13.

Announced this morning are additional performances by newcomer Ruby Lewis (Paramour) and long-time main stem favorite Eric Anderson (Waitress, The Last Ship, Rocky).

Casting has been announced for the new musicals in development at Eugene O'Neill Theater Center's National Music Theater Conference later this month. Among the actors premiering new work are Adam Chanler-Berat, Erin Davie, Colin Hanlon, Kevin Mambo, Matt Von Roderick, Christina Sajous, and Remy Zaken.

Broadway's Mixtape, a new concert series featuring Broadway's best talent performing the songs of the artists who have influenced them the most, will debut at New York's iconic rock club Le Poisson Rouge this September. 

See William Shakespeare's 'Pericles' at Two River Theater through May 8th. Directed by David Schweizer and choreographed by Dan Knechtges, the show has original music and lyrics by Rinde Eckert and musical direction by Ian Axness. The dive bar setting puts a modern spin on The Bard's classic and the show features an exceptional cast.

Two River Theater presents Shakespeare's PERICLES, featuring original music and lyrics by Rinde Eckert, choreographed by Dan Knechtges, and directed by David Schweizer. The press opening is Friday, April 22 at 8pm. Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, announces the full cast and creative team for its production of Shakespeare's Pericles, featuring original music and lyrics by multidisciplinary artist Rinde Eckert, who also plays Gower/Old Pericles. BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Classic Stage Company's Mother Courage and Her Children will now resume performances Tuesday, Jan. 12 rather than tonight, Jan. 8. The delay grants Kecia Lewis 'additional time for memorization of the script and rehearsal,' after taking on the title role earlier this week for Tony winner Tonya Pinkins.

With less than a week's preparation, Lewis steps into a production her predecessor denounced as seen through 'the filter of the white gaze.'
