Several great performers have joined the National Alliance for Musical Theatre's 20th Annual Festival of New Musicals on October 20 & 21 at New World Stages and more have been added to the benefit concert A Toast for 20! on October 19th at COMIX.

Ken Davenport and Robyn Goodman proudly announce that Altar Boyz, the acclaimed musical comedy at New World Stages which recently played its 1500th performance, will begin Wednesday evening performances on October 15th. The new schedule will be Monday, Wednesday through Friday at 8 pm, Saturday at 2 pm and 8 pm and Sunday at 3 pm and 7 pm.

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) and Executive Director Kathy Evans announced the directors and casts for the eight musicals being presented at its 20th Annual Festival of New Musicals at New World Stages (340 West 50th St) on Monday, October 20 and Tuesday, October 21, 2008. Also, announced were the line-up for this year's Songwriter Showcase happening during the Festival.

The event will honor producing maverick Ken Davenport and Arlene Romoff, advocate for open captioning for live theater, at a luncheon benefit on Sunday, November 9, 2008 at Caroline's on Broadway. Under the mentorship of Tony Award-winning composer/lyricist William Finn, Barrington Stage Company is proud to announce the third exciting season of its acclaimed Musical Theater Lab. Developed by Artistic Director Julianne Boyd in conjunction with Finn in 2006, the Lab is designed to nurture and assist musical theater writers, composers, and lyricists as they create new works. These musicals, when fully developed, will result in workshops and/or full presentations. Since its founding, the Musical Theatre Lab has already presented six original/new musicals/revues, in addition to numerous readings and workshops.

Producers are seeking young men, ages 19-25, for the Chicago production of the award-winning musical comedy Altar Boyz, now playing at Drury Lane Water Tower Place, 175 E. Chestnut St. in Chicago. All potential 'boyz' must have strong pop vocals, solid hip-hop dance ability, and excellent comedic instincts. Open auditions will be held at Lou Conte Dance Studio, 1147 W. Jackson St., Studio C, on Friday, February 1. 2008 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
