'ROCK TO THE RESCUE' Benefit Concert Raises Over $400,000

STYX and REO SPEEDWAGON, along with RICHARD MARX, TED NUGENT,LARRY THE CABLE GUY, SURVIVOR, HEAD EAST and BRUSHVILLE have announced that the December 4 benefit concert. Rock To The Rescue Extends A Hand To Those In Need, raised $400,783. This completely sold-out show, at U.S. Cellular Coliseum inBloomington, raised funds for central Illinois communities that were affected by the recent devastating tornadoes and winds. Rock To The Rescue has announced that distributed funds raised from ticket sales, auctions and donations will benefit the Midwest Food Bank, Peoria Citizens Committee for Economic Opportunity, Tazwood Community Services, Toys for Tots and the Washington Community Bank in care of City of Washington Tornado Relief Fund.

REO SPEEDWAGON will bring its classic hits to the Rosemont Theatre, 5400 N. River Road, as the multi-platinum group comes to Rosemont on Sat., Jan. 18 at 8 p.m. The upcoming concert will feature a hit-filled set boasting such fan-favorites such as "Keep On Loving You," "Can't Fight This Feeling," "Take It On the Run" and many more.

At every stop along the “The Midwest Rock 'N Roll Express” tour with STYX, REO Speedwagon and Ted Nugent, which kicked off in Grand Forks, ND last week at the Ralph Engelstad Arena, STYX's Rock to the Rescue charity organization will be giving away a guitar signed by all three acts as part of a silent raffle. 75% of the proceeds will be donated to a local charity in Boston to help victims of the recent explosions. The remaining 25% will be given to local charities in the respective tour market.

New York-New York Hotel & Casino welcomed REO Speedwagon to Rok Vegas Nightclub as they hosted their After-Concert Party Friday, July 23. The American rock band, which consists of members Dave Amato, Kevin Cronin, Neal Doughty, Bruce Hall, and Bryan Hitt, performed live in concert, along with Pat Benatar, at the Thomas & Mack Center at UNLV at 7 p.m. and continued the party as they celebrated at Vegas' coolest rock-inspired nightclub.
