Today's big news: DO I HEAR A WALTZ? begins at Encores!, NC Stage's BRAVE NEW WORLD musical with Justin Matthew Sargent starts tonight, and HAMILTON gets honored with the 2016 Brendan Gill Prize!

Following its initial casting announcement in April, The Muny announced today additional principal cast members for its spectacular 98th season. The 2016 Muny season opens with The Wizard of Oz followed by 42nd Street and The Music Man. The season includes the premieres of the popular Mel Brooks comedy, Young Frankenstein and world-wide megahit, Mamma Mia!, and closes with Fiddler on the Roof and Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida.

If you could live forever, would you? Take a journey you'll never forget in this powerful new musical about love, family and living life to the fullest. With direction and choreography by Tony Award® winner Casey Nicholaw (Something Rotten!, Aladdin, The Book of Mormon), Tuck Everlasting just opened last night at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street) and BroadwayWorld has on hand for all of the festivities. Last Friday, at a restaurant in downtown Dallas, the cast of Broadway's newest hit musical, MOONSHINE: THAT HEE HAW MUSICAL, celebrated their crowd-pleasing opening night amidst cocktails and cheers. Except it wasn't the celebration of their Broadway opening night they were celebrating: it was a party celebrating the press opening of Dallas Theatre Center's exciting new local production, currently being produced in hopes of soon landing on the Great White Way. Still, with the amount of talent on stage, and the brilliant writing, staging, costumes, set design, etc., this production felt a lot more 'Big Apple' than 'Big D.'
