The Tony Award-winning Denver Center Theatre Company announced its 36th season which boasts new adaptations of classics, a Broadway hit, a beloved holiday tradition, two world premieres and a telling of a night after an historic boxing championship. The season will run September 12 - April 26 with eight main stage productions.
Catherine Trieschmann is back in New York at Women's Project Theater with a tart, satirical skewing of small town cultural wars entitled The Most Deserving. A new adaptation of Meredith Willson's classic musical THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN will kick off the Denver Center Theatre Company's 2014/15 season, according to Producing Artistic Director Kent Thompson. Three-time Tony Award nominee Dick Scanlan combines his spirited new book with never before heard songs from the catalogue of Willson, who is also creator of the beloved The Music Man. The production will be helmed by three-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall as director and choreographer.
Based on actual events, this play is a great insight into Denver history and the debate of immigration that is still a hot topic not only on a state, but a federal level as well.

The Denver Center Theatre Company's (DCTC) world premiere production of SENSE & SENSIBILITY THE MUSICAL, with book and lyrics by Jeffrey Haddow and music by Neal Hampton, is being staged by director and choreographer Marcia Milgrom Dodge, whose recent Broadway revival of Ragtime received seven Tony Award nominations. SENSE & SENSIBILITY THE MUSICAL is currently running in its world premiere production through tonight, May 26, 2013. Starring in the pivotal sister roles are Stephanie Rothenberg as Elinor and Mary Michael Patterson as Marianne.
