The Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) Theatre Company has announced that they are the recipients of a $125,000 grant from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation to support their upcoming World Premiere production of Benediction.

The Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) Theatre Company announced today that Colorado playwriting group Rough Draught Playwrights will curate the inaugural Local Playwrights' Slam during the local weekend of the 2015 Colorado New Play Summit. The Denver Center for the Performing Arts has announced the expansion of the Theatre Company's 10th annual Colorado New Play Summit. The enlargement coincides with the Women's Voices Fund endowment surpassing the one million dollar mark. Just like the miners who came to Colorado in search of treasure, the cast, crew and design team of The Unsinkable Molly Brown, led by Kathleen Marshall journeyed to the Denver Center to begin telling the story of Margaret 'Call Me Molly' Tobin Brown. As with most 'First Day of School' days, the energy, excitement and anticipation permeated the room. After a brief introduction, DCPA Producing Artistic Director Kent Thompson began by telling us how truly special Margaret 'Molly' Brown is to the people of Denver and how thrilled the community was to have this production premiere at the DCPA.
