Last year's staged reading of Motherhood Out Loud was so popular that Matrix Theatre Company has brought it back for four performances over Mother's Day weekend. Performances for this limited engagement run are May 6 - 8, Friday and Saturday at 8 pm and Saturday and Sunday at 3pm at Matrix Theatre located at 2730 Bagley in the heart of southwest Detroit.
The 2015 Detroit Fringe Theatre Festival is proud to announce its Festival lineup which includes 20 performances of 10 minute plays, full-length plays & musicals, and staged readings over the course of four days. The festival will highlight the work of over 50 Michigan artists and more than 15 Michigan writers with 7 out of state guests.
The World Premiere production of BUZZ, a biting comedy about a lecherous CEO and his wily stock clerk will be at the Detroit Repertory Theatre on Thursday November 6, 2014 at 8:30 PM. The play is written by native Michiganian Richard Strand, and as is the tradition for Opening Nights at the Rep, a complimentary Champagne Afterglow will follow the play with the cast and crew of the production.
Planet Ant Theatre will welcome the 2013 winner of Box Fest Detroit, Kennikki Jones-Jones to direct its next Late Night Series production The Algorithm, an original one-act play debuting Friday, January 31 with performances Friday and Saturday evenings at 9:00pm and Sunday afternoons at 2:00pm through February 16.
