Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) has announced that USMAN ALLY, TERENCE ARCHIE, DESMIN BORGES, CHRISTIAN LITKE, and MICHAEL T. WEISS (NBC's 'The Pretender') will star in the New York premiere of THE ELABORATE ENTRANCE OF CHAD DEITY, a new play written by Kristoffer Diaz and directed by Edward Torres.

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) will close its production of the World Premiere of A COOL DIP IN THE BARREN SAHARAN CRICK, a new play by Kia Corthron (Breath, Boom at Playwrights Horizons/PH, Force Continuum) and directed by Obie Award winner Chay Yew (Durango at The Public), on April 11th.

Vampire Cowboys Theatre Company presents the world premiere production of 'ALICE IN SLASHERLAND,' written by Qui Nguyen and directed by Robert Ross Parker, with fight choreography by Mr. Nguyen. Performances began March 18 at HERE (www.here.org), 145 Sixth Avenue (between Spring and Broome Streets, enter on Dominick Street). 'ALICE IN SLASHERLAND' officially opened on Sunday, March 21 at 8:30 p.m. Performances conclude Saturday, April 10.

Variety reports today that THE MIRACLE WORKER star Alison Pill will Join stage and screen vet Edie Falco on stage off-Broadway in the Naked Angels' production of THIS WIDE NIGHT, by Chloe Moss. The production will feature direction by Anne Kauffman (Stunning, The Thugs) and is set to open sometime this spring at the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre at Theatre Row. The production will begin previews on May 8 and open May 16. The Naked Angels Theatre Company is currently represented on Broadway with NEXT FALL, co-produced by Elton John and David Furnish.
