World Premiere Of LADIES Announced At Boston Court Pasadena

Boston Court Pasadena continues their 2019 theatre season with the world premiere of Kit Steinkellner's Ladies, directed by Jessica Kubzansky, May 24 - June 30 (press opening: June 1). Ladies features Meghan Andrews (Elizabeth Montagu), Carie Kawa (Elizabeth Carter), Jully Lee (Fanny Burney), and Tracey A. Leigh (Angelica Kauffman).

Billy Crystal and John Goodman Return as Mike and Sulley in the Disney+ Animated Series MONSTERS AT WORK

Billy Crystal and John Goodman will reprise their beloved roles as Mike and Sulley in 'Monsters At Work,' a new animated series for families set to premiere on Disney+ in 2020. Produced by Disney Television Animation and inspired by the world of Disney and Pixar's Academy Award-winning 'Monsters, Inc.,' the series picks up six months after the original movie's story, with the Monsters, Inc. power plant now harvesting the laughter of children to fuel the city of Monstropolis, thanks to Mike and Sulley's discovery that laughter generates ten times more energy than screams.

STAR WARS: EPISODE IX Begins Production

Star Wars: Episode IX will begin filming at London's Pinewood Studios on August 1, 2018. J.J. Abrams returns to direct the final installment of the Skywalker saga. Abrams co-wrote the screenplay with Chris Terrio.

TEEN CHOICE 2018 Kicks Off Summer with Second and Final Wave of Nominees

The second and final wave of TEEN CHOICE TM 2018 nominees have been announced and music artists Cardi B and Selena Gomez lead with four nominations each. In film, "The Greatest Showman," "Black Panther" and "Solo: A Star Wars Story" each received four nods. "Riverdale" leads in television with seven nominations, while "Stranger Things" follows with five and "The Bold Type" with four.

Boston Court Pasadena announced the full details of its 14th annual New Play Reading Festival, July 19 - 28.  Curated by Literary Manager Emilie Beck, in concert with Artistic Directors Jessica Kubzansky and Michael Michetti, the New Play Reading Festival is a key component of Boston Court Pasadena's commitment to nurturing playwrights and new work, and continues the company's core mission of developing and programming works that are inherently theatrical, textually rich, and visually arresting. GET OUT (Universal Pictures) won the top honors for Best Publicity Campaign for Motion Pictures and STRANGER THINGS 2 (Netflix/Wonder View)won the Best Publicity Campaign in Television, both presented by KELLY MARIE TRAN (Star Wars: The Last Jedi). This year's luncheon, which traditionally occurs the week leading up to the Academy Awards, was chaired by HENRI BOLLINGER and co-chaired by TIM MENKE. More than 900 industry leaders attended including guild members, Hollywood public relations and marketing executives, producers, studio and network executives, celebrities and press.

A star-studded host committee, Academy Awards nominees and presenters, along with some of the most powerful industry influencers came together on March 3 rd, 2018 for the 16 th annual 'Night Before' party to benefit MPTF. Funds raised during the legendary evening will be used to support MPTF in providing social services and financial assistance to the entertainment community, as well as it's renowned retirement community and innovative programs for seniors and those who care for them. The organization impacts thousands of people each year who have committed their lives to a career in entertainment. The annual event raised $5 million last night, totaling just over $80 million in the event's history.
