The Outer Critics Circle, the organization of writers covering New York theatre for out-of-town newspapers, national publications and other media beyond Broadway, will welcome Danny Burstein and Jane Krakowski to announce the nominees for the 2016-17 season on Tuesday, April 25th (11AM) in the Oak Room at New York's renowned Algonquin Hotel (59 West 44th Street). For the most part, the characters represent a collection of individuals, but one character in particular is based on a remarkable woman. Jenn Colella portrays Beverley Bass, a female pilot and an all-around pioneer.

Due to incredible demand, La Jolla Playhouse announces a week-long extension for its world-premiere production of Escape to Margaritaville, now scheduled to run May 9 - June 25. Individual tickets for the show went on sale to the public Sunday, March 26, shattering box office records.

Creators Irene Sankoff and David Hein will be joined by the Come From Away cast: Petrina Bromley, Geno Carr, Jenn Colella, Joel Hatch, Rodney Hicks, Kendra Kassebaum, Tony Award nominee Chad Kimball, Lee MacDougall, Caesar Samayoa, Q. As if... we can wait any longer! Amy Heckerling's jukebox musical adaptation of the hit '90s film CLUELESS is getting another developmental lab in New York City, according to an Actors' Equity casting notice. The workshop will run July 5 - July 27, 2017.

Toronto Metro News is reporting that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will soon be on his way to Broadway to see one of theatre's newcomers COME FROM AWAY. Trudeau tweeted that he has tickets for himself and his wife on March 15 and he is looking forward 'to showing New Yorkers Canada at its best.'
