The Broadway Inspirational Voices will lead a host of Broadway talent in 'Imagine: A Concert of Hope,' a benefit concert to raise funds for cancer research through the Brian Werbel Memorial Fund at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center. The event will take place Monday, September 8th at 8pm at Le Poisson Rouge and all proceeds from the event will be donated to the Brian Werbel Memorial Fund.

IMAGINE: A Concert of Hope, a benefit concert to raise funds to benefit Cancer Research through the Brian Werbel Memorial Fund at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center, will take place on Monday, September 8th at 8:00 pm (le) poisson rouge (158 Bleecker St.). OPEN REHEARSAL READINGS TODAY, JUNE 15-16 The YALE INSTITUTE FOR MUSIC THEATRE (Mark Brokaw, Artistic Director) announces the creative teams and casting for the two original book musicals, The Last Queen of Canaan, with music by Jacob Yandura and book and lyrics by Rebekah Greer Melocik, and Mrs. Hughes, with music and lyrics by Sharon Kenny and book by Janine Nabers, which will be developed in an intensive lab setting in New Haven, June 4-16. The residency culminates with open rehearsal readings of each project, presented as part of the International Festival of Arts & Ideas, today, June 15 and the 16th, 2013.

Five months…  FIVE MONTHS after their previous musical comedy, Jumbo, opened at the Hippodrome, the trio of Richard Rodgers, Lorenz Hart and George Abbott had a brand new one at the Imperial.  But far from seeming a rush job, their 1936 On Your Toes can easily be argued to be a huge step forward in refining musical comedy into a sophisticated art form.

The "Slaughter on Tenth Avenue" ballet, originally choreographed by George Balanchine, will be staged by Susan Pilarre, who served as a Ballet Mistress of the show's 1983 Broadway Revival.
