Juilliard's Drama Division announced the complete schedule for its 2010-2011 season of fully-staged productions featuring students in their fourth and final year of acting training at Juilliard. This season's plays include Lorraine Hansberry's A RAISIN IN THE SUN, directed by Jade King Carroll, October 20-24; David Auburn's PROOF, directed by Harris Yulin, November 11-15; and Chekhov's THE SEAGULL, directed by Richard Feldman, December 9-13.

American playwright Katori Hall's The Mountaintop was named Best Play at the 2010 Olivier Awards in London. Marking the first time a female African American playwright has received the honor in the Olivier Awards' 34-year history, Ms. Hall's play was nominated alongside such new works as Jerusalem, Enron and Red.

PONY Fellowship Awarded To Tommy Smith

After three successful years of the Playwrights of New York (PONY) Fellowship, the Lark PlayDevelopmentCenter is proud to announce that playwright Tommy Smith will be the 2010-11 PONY Fellow, one of the most unique artist fellowships in the country. He will succeed Katori Hall (Olivier Award, THE MOUNTAINTOP) in October 2010.
