Christoph Waltz, Colin Firth, THE HURT LOCKER Win at BAFTA Awards

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards were handed out tonight, Sunday, February 21, 2010. 'The Hurt Locker' swept the awards picking up the honors of Best Director, Original Screenplay and Film, and also winning for Editing, Sound and Cinematography. Colin Firth picked up a Best Actor BAFTA award for his work in 'A Single Man' while Christoph Waltz won in the category of Best Supporting Actor for 'Inglourious Basterds.'

'Hurt Locker' Helmer Bigelow to Direct Logan-Penned HBO Pilot About Broadway

Academy Award-nominee and 'Hurt Locker' Director Kathryn Bigelow will direct 'The Miraculous Year,' a new pilot for HBO, according to Variety. Variety reports that John Logan serves as the writer, executive producer and creator of the show, which tells the story of a full-of-life, but self-destructive Broadway composer and his family.

Oscar Nominees to Be Honored at Academy Luncheon 2/15

Fourteen of the 20 nominees in the acting categories will be among more than 120 Academy Award® nominees who will gather at noon on Monday (February 15) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel when the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences honors this year's Oscar contenders at its annual Nominees Luncheon.

Kathryn Bigelow won the DGA's Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film for The Hurt Locker.
