Netflix has renewed sci-fi space drama Another Life for a 10-episode second season, according to Deadline. 

Choose Humanity. Another Life premieres July 25. Only on Netflix.

When a mysterious alien Artifact lands on Earth, Commander Niko Breckinridge (Katee Sackhoff) has to lead humanity's first interstellar mission to its planet of origin, while her husband (Justin Chatwin) tries to make first contact with the artifact back on earth. Another Life explores the miracle of life, how precious life is in a universe mostly empty of it, and the lengths we will go to protect the ones we love.

Tyler Hoechlin, Justin Chatwin, Samuel Anderson and Elizabeth Faith Ludlow have boarded the Netflix sci-fi drama series Another Life, from creator/showrunner Aaron Martin (Slasher, Saving Hope, Degrassi: The Next Generation) and producer Noreen Halpern (Alias Grace) through her Halfire Entertainment shingle, both of whom are executive producing.  

 Gravitas Ventures announces today that they have acquired worldwide rights to the horror-thriller 14 CAMERAS, directed by Scott Hussion and Seth Fuller.  Written by Victor Zarcoff, the film is the highly-anticipated sequel to the critically-acclaimed horror title 13 CAMERAS (New York Times Critic's Pick), released by Gravitas Ventures in 2015.  The film will be released in theaters and on demand nationwide on July 27th. 

The pre-celebratory events leading up to the 25th Anniversary of Life Ball kicked off on Thursday, May 31 in Vienna with the Swarovski Crystal of Hope award presentation to Oscar and Golden Globe winner Charlize Theron on behalf of the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project. This year's Swarovski Crystal of Hope was presented by Helene von Damm in the name of the Swarovski Foundation. Federal Minister for EU, Art, Culture, and Media Gernot Blumel and Life Ball chairman and organizer Gery Keszler also participated in the presentation.

Netflix Orders All-New Original Sci-Fi Drama ANOTHER LIFE

Netflix has ordered a 10 episode sci-fi series Another Life, starring Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) as an astronaut on a mission to explore alien intelligence.

'Blade Runner 2049' (Dennis Gassner), 'The Shape of Water' (Paul Denham Austerberry), 'Coco' (Harley Jessup), and 'Logan' (Francois Audouy), won Best Production Design for Feature Film. Television winners included 'The Handmaid's Tale' (Julie Berghoff), 'Portlandia' (Schuyler Telleen), 'Will & Grace' (Glenda Rovella), 'Black Mirror' (Joel Collins, Phil Sims), and 'Game of Thrones' (Deborah Riley) 'Glow' (Todd Fjelsted), and 'Star Wars Battlefront II: Rivalry/PS4' (Jason Edmonds), respectively.

For the first time, the annual Art Directors Guild (IATSE Local 800) Awards Red Carpet will be live-streamed from Hollywood and Highland's Ray Dolby Ballroom on Saturday, January 27th beginning at 5:00 pm PT/8:00 pm ET. Hosted by Emmy -winning Production Designers James Pearse Connelly (The Voice) and Cat Smith (Transparent), the ADG Red Carpet Live Stream is co-produced byAmerican Cinematheque, SDSU School of Theatre, Television and Film, and IngleDodd Media.

WWE Studios and Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions (SPWA) today announced that the two studios will partner again to release the upcoming action film THE MARINE 6: CLOSE QUARTERS, directed by James Nunn (The Marine 5: Battleground, Eliminators). The film will feature WWE Superstars The Miz and Becky Lynch, and WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels, and is set to begin production on Monday, November 27 in London.
