This show will be the 20th show of the 7th season of the Sundays In Summer Cabaret Series. Ms. Weisman's musical director, arranger, and pianist will by Palm Springs local, Barney McClure. ASCAP/Grow A Show Workshop Returning to Lied Center

Following the marked success of its first American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) event in 2013, the Lied Center for Performing Arts announces the return of the ASCAP/Grow A Show New Musical Theatre Workshop Sept. 9-11, 2015. The workshop seeks new musical theatre works with the potential to be developed and produced into full-scale productions. The Lied Center is currently accepting submissions from musical theatre playwrights and composers from across the country. Submissions must be received by Friday, May 1, 2015 to be considered.

BWW Reviews: Kritzerland Salutes JERRY HERMAN

On Sunday November 2, Kritzerland presented its 51st show Put on Your Sunday Clothes, The Songs of Jerry Herman at Sterling's Upstairs at the Federal with special guest star Karen Morrow. No surprise that this was an uplifting, thoroughly enjoyable evening of song, for as host Bruce Kimmel stated up front, 'No one brings optimism to Broadway like Jerry Herman.' Fabulous Tom Griep served as musical director at the piano with super songsters David Engel, Valerie Perri, Damon Kirsche, Shannon Warne, Chelsea Emma Franko and 14 year-old Sami Staitman as well as the aforementioned queen of singers Karen Morrow. Singing doesn't get any better than this!

Actress/lawyer Allison Brush made her very well-received cabaret debut at Upstairs at Vitello's Sunday September 14 with her show entitled For This You Went to Law School? Once an actress/singer, Brush, discouraged by rejection like many, left the profession and studied law, passing the bar exam on her first try. Now after many successful years as a lawyer, in which she claims she was miserable, she is returning to show biz, something she has sorely missed. In fact, participating in weekly sessions of Open Mic at the Gardenia and studying with songstress/master teacher Karen Morrow - law by day and singing at night - singing became her therapy.
