Tonight, April 1st, the Miners Foundry Cultural Center and Sierra Stages kick off the third season of Theater by the Book, a popular series of informal play readings for the community, with the critically acclaimed musical 'Ordinary Days' written by composer/lyricist Adam Gwon. Sandra Rockman directs, with musical direction by Ken Getz, and featuring local Nevada County actors Jay Barker, Nancy Haffey, Jonathan Hansard, and Kim Wellman.

Tonight, March 21, 2015, American Repertory Ballet will hold its annual Gala performance and reception, The Dream, in downtown New Brunswick, NJ. The performance will begin at 6:00pm at Crossroads Theater, and the reception will begin at 7:00pm across the street at the Heldrich Hotel. The reception will include a gourmet dinner, dancing to the music of The Kenny i Orchestra, auctions, and more. Free valet parking will be provided. Princeton Ballet School students ages 12-18 years can enjoy a Junior Gala party with dinner, dancing and silent auction, also at the Heldrich Hotel.

Jay Henderson, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association (CSOA), announced today that CSOA Trustee Randy Berlin and her husband, Melvin, have pledged $2 million to the CSOA to create the Randy and Melvin Berlin Family Fund for the Canon. This gift provides support for artistic excellence in the programming of core orchestral repertoire by German and Austro-Hungarian composers—such as Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Mozart, Schubert and Schumann—for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (CSO).
