Joe's Pub at The Public is proud to welcome seven different artist residencies this summer including sultry pop songstress DIANE BIRCH, New Orleans piano virtuoso HENRY BUTLER, performance artist JOHN KELLY, swinging jazz band THE HOT SARDINES, airhostess/comedienne PAM ANN, and more. Like its NEW YORK VOICES commissioning program, these residencies are a central part of the venue's commitment to artist development and to providing space for new work. The international hit play Love, Loss, and What I Wore will return by popular demand to Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts for a limited engagement tonight, June 4-16. The all-star cast features Dee Hoty (Mamma Mia!), Sabrina LeBeauf (The Cosby Show), Amanda Setton (The Mindy Project), Zuzanna Szadkowski (Gossip Girl) and Dawn Wells (Gilligan's Island).

Philadelphia Theatre Company announces that Mary Birdsong, Aisha de Haas, Kate Flannery, Ashley Austin Morris, andJoyce Van Patten will appear in the Philadelphia cast of Love, Loss, and What I Wore on June 25-July 7 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre. This intimate collection of stories by sisters Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron and directed by Karen Carpenter is based on the best-selling book by Ilene Beckerman. Like the popular book, the show uses clothing, accessories and the memories they trigger to tell funny and often poignant stories to which all women can relate. This production is presented by special arrangement with producer Daryl Roth.

Closing Aurora Theatre Company's 21st season is the Bay Area Premiere of Neil LaBute's dark, edgy comic drama THIS IS HOW IT GOES, directed by Aurora Theatre Company Artistic Director Tom Ross (A Delicate Balance). Ross helmed LaBute's The Shape of Things, the first LaBute play produced in the Bay Area, in 2003. Featuring Aldo Billingslea (Collapse), Gabriel Marin (Collapse, Jack Goes Boating), and Carrie Paff (A Delicate Balance, Collapse, Betrayal), THIS IS HOW IT GOES presents a one-two punch after LaBute's Fat Pig (staged at Aurora in 2009). Tweaking perspectives of truth and interpretation to broach sharp questions about race, love, and manipulation,THIS IS HOW IT GOES, about which the Chicago Tribune raved "Highly recommended! LaBute's play has a lot of sting and nothing is as it seems!" plays June 14 through July 21 at the Aurora Theatre in Berkeley. Paul Garman, Executive Director/Producer of Musical Theatre West, has announced the cast of A CHORUS LINE, previewing tonight, April 12, opening April 13 at 8pm, and continuing through April 28. As with all Musical Theatre West productions, A CHORUS LINE is locally-produced in Long Beach with professional actors from Broadway, national tours, film and television, including the best in local talent.

Shana Farr, the multi-talented actress/singer who won the coveted Julie Wilson Award at the Mabel Mercer Foundation's 23rd Annual Cabaret Convention last October at Jazz at Lincoln Center, will make her London singing debut at The Crazy Coqs in London, England, on May 14 - 18, 2013 where she will present her critically acclaimed cabaret show, Whistling Away The Dark, Through Songs of Julie Andrews.

Until recently, Wilbury Group was presenting their plays in an old warehouse space, which was both difficult to find and mostly uncomfortable for the audience. The cavernous space was too large, too hard to find and made it too difficult for audiences to enjoy exciting new theater. Now, the company has found new digs, on Broad Street, in the Southside Cultural Center. The space is far smaller, far more comfortable and much more intimate, allowing Wilbury to bring the audience up close and personal with exciting works of drama, from old to new, musical to straight play.
