The ladies are back. After a debut at The Laurie Beechman Theatre in October, Brenda Jean Foley and Audrey-Maeve Hager are back by popular demand and proud to present two more performances of their cabaret Then Comes Marriage, a journey into the joys and aggravations of marriage. The shows take place on November 18th and 19th at 7PM at Don't Tell Mama and feature musical direction by Tracy Stark and direction by Julie Reyburn.

DUET FOR SOLO VOICE Rescheduled to Run 1/28/2010-2/14/2010

Theater for the New City's special production of 'Duet for Solo Voice' by David Scott Milton, directed by Stanley Allan Sherman and acted by Jonathan Slaff, which was originally set for September 24 to October 11, 2009, has been rescheduled to January 28 to February 14, 2010.

Theater for the New City was to present a special production of 'Duet for Solo Voice' by David Scott Milton, directed by Stanley Allan Sherman and acted by Jonathan Slaff, September 24 to October 11, 2009 has announced that it will be postponed until later in the seaon.

23rd Annual 2009 MAC Award Winners Announced

As previously announced, The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs will celebrate the 23rd Annual MAC Awards on Monday, May 18th at 7:30pm at B.B. King Blues Club (237 West 42nd St, Between Broadway 8th Avenue). This year's performers/presenters include Polly Bergen (Recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award), Klea Blackhurst, Tyne Daly, Karen Mason, Marilyn Maye, John McDaniel, Rex Reed, Steve Ross, and Julie Wilson among others.

Farley and Gurland Return to Laurie Beechman For 'RODGERS AND HAMMERSTEIN' 1/29

Award winning vocalists Brian Farley and David Gurland return for one final performance of their first full show together.- An evening of RODGERS AND HAMMERSTEIN. Already great interpreters of the American Popular songbook, this will be the pair's first foray into the catalog of arguably the greatest songwriting team in history. Featuring songs from Carousel, The Sound of Music, The King and I, this years' biggest Broadway hit South Pacific, and many more. Musically directed by Tracy Stark., The show previously played the Laurie Beechman Theatre in July to packed houses and ecstatic reviews.

Tom O'Horgan, Tony Nominated HAIR Director, Dies At Age 84

Tom O'Horgan, the director who received a Tony Award Nomination for HAIR, has died at age 84. Published reports state that he was battling with Alzheimer's Disease. O'Horgan made his Broadway directorial debut in 1968 with the ground-breaking musical Hair, garnering a Tony Award nomination for Best Direction of a Musical. Additional Broadway credits include Lenny, with Cliff Gorman as controversial comedian-satirist Lenny Bruce, Jesus Christ Superstar, Dude, Inner City, The Leaf People, and I Won't Dance.
