Roger Sanders and Dana Scott Galloway present the New York premiere of The Klunch's production of LAURA BUSH KILLED A GUY by Ian Allen. Directed by John Vreeke, the production stars Lisa Hodsoll, who received a 2018 Helen Hayes Award nomination for her portrayal of the former First Lady in the acclaimed Washington DC premiere. Previews begin June 14 at The Flea Theater with opening night slated for Thursday, June 21.

Director and playwright Stan Zimmerman has found his quartet of actors for his new comedy Knife to the Heart, co-written with Christian McLaughlin. The show will play a limited run of 3 WEEKS ONLY for 9 performances (May 4-20) at the Dorie Theatre, part of The Complex on LA's famed Theatre Row (6476 Santa Monica Blvd, LA CA 90038). Show times are Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 3pm. The cast includes Chelsea Kane ('Baby Daddy'), Todd Sherry ('Parks & Recreation'), Josh Zuckerman (A Delicate Ship) and four-time Emmy-nominee Patricia Richardson ('Home Improvement'). Tickets are $35 for Reserved Seating /$25 General Admission/$30 at the door, if available, and can be purchased at www.brownpapertickets.com. A special preview performance is Friday May 4 with an Opening Night of Saturday May 5.

Lead Effect Productions has announced the world premiere comedy Big Shot by Joe Napoli Jr. and John Scacco at the Dorie Theatre at The Complex in Hollywood. Directed by Stan Zimmerman, there will be one preview performance on March 2 at 8pm and opening is set for Saturday, March 3, at 8pm. The limited engagement will run through March 17 only.
This one-night-only event reunites award-winning playwright Justin Tanner with the folks at The Klunch, to present a benefit reading of Happytime Xmas. A massive hit in Tanner's hometown of LA, the show was remounted annually, year after year, at the famed Cast Theater, following it's 1989 premiere. In DC, Tanner's Wife Swappers, Coyote Woman, and Zombie Attack! were all huge hits for Cherry Red Productions. Kate Debelack, who will direct, even starred in Zombie Attack!.
