Julio Martinez-hosted Arts in Review-celebrating the best in theater and cabaret in the Greater Los Angeles area-airs Fridays (2-2:30pm) on KPFK (90.7FM), streamed live worldwide over kpfk.org. Today, Friday, June 3, Arts in Review spotlights two Rogue Machine Hollywood Fringe Fest West Coast premieres, presented at Met Theatre: Mike Bartlett's Bull, directed by Jennifer Pollono; and Kim Davies' Smoke, directed by Lisa James.

Jennifer Pollono is a founding member of Rogue Machine and the Producing Director of their "Off-The-Clock" series. She is responsible for the multi-award-winning Premiere of Small Engine Repair, which originated at Rogue Machine and opened Off-Broadway to rave reviews. Other credits at Rogue Machine include Dirty Filthy Love Story, Bingo with the Indians, MilkMilkLemonade, Lone-Anon, Paternus and Uploaded.

Lisa James is a multi-award winning director for her work on Heartstopper (LA Weekly Award), Palladium is Moving, (Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award), Lynn Siefert's Little Egypt (Drama-Logue Award), Wendy Macleod's The Water Children at the Matrix Theatre (LADCC and Garland Award), Justin Tanner's Bitter Women (LADCC Award), The Visible Horse, (LADCC and Garland Award) and many more. .
