The Music of Lance Horne, the inaugural edition of a late-night strand of the ever-popular West End show series, Notes from New York.

Natalie Joy Johnson, currently starring as Paulette in Legally Blonde at the Pantages Theatre, brings her popular club act to Upright Cabaret for its West Coast premiere, after sold out engagements at Joe's Pub, the Cutting Room, Feinstein's and Ars Nova. Natalie's act harkens back to a time when the great ladies of show business entertained every night in swanky, smoky rooms.

Michael Croiter, musician and owner of the recording production facility Yellow Sound Lab, and Tony Award®-winning Orchestrator Bill Sherman (In the Heights) have partnered to launch YELLOW SOUND LABEL, a brand new record label that will produce an eclectic array of albums from some of today's biggest talents from Broadway and beyond. Carr at 'Real Dancing with the Real Stars,' Performance Space 122's Spring Benefit 2009 to be held on Wednesday, May 27 at The Abrons Arts Center (466 Grand Street at Pitt Street, in Manhattan).

The nominations for the 2009 GLAAD Media Awards have been announced, BILLY ELLIOT and Road Show were among the New York theatre related show nominees. The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation also announced that Tyra Banks will receive the Excellence in Media Award and Suze Orman will be awarded the Vito Russo Award. GLAAD also give honors to comicbooks, advertising and journalism. Ceremonies will be held on March 28 in New York at the Marriott Maquis, April 18 in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theatre and on May 9 in San Francisco at the San Francisco Hilton.

On Monday 1/19 MGC Productions hosted a star studded event, Broadway Speaks Out: Live at The Duplex. Broadway Speaks Out is an online talk show that features Broadway performers speaking out about how their careers have influenced the LGBT community. The evening featured Anthony Hollock and Allison Guinn (Hair), Brian Charles Rooney (The Three Penny Opera), Hannah Shankman (RENT Tour), Rob DiCaterino, Michael Burbach, Elliot Roth (Our Sinatra) and Jenn Lederer, Both of whom are in the upcoming production of Midwtwenties:The Show. The concert also had a special guest appearance by internationally known drag performer, Sherry Vine. Martin Gould Cummings, the artistic director and founder of MGC Productions hosted the evening. MGC Productions is a fiscally sponsored theatre company founded by Martin Gould Cummings and his partner Anthony Hollock. Their goal is to bring the LGBT cause to the forefront through theatre, media, and music.
