Those who will be taking the stage throughout the evening will include: Antonio Banderas, Justin Bartha, Cate Blanchett, Michael Douglas, Kelsey Grammer, Scarlett Johansson, Laura Linney, Lucy Liu, Lea Michele, Helen Mirren, Matthew Morrison, Chris Noth, Bernadette Peters, David Hyde Pierce, Tony Shalhoub, Liev Schreiber, Denzel Washington, Raquel Welch, among others.
Emmy, Golden Globe and two time Academy Award winner Michael Douglas will be celebrated at the Film Society's 37th Annual Chaplin Award Gala on the evening of Monday May 24th at Alice Tully Hall. The limited ticket event will be attended by many of Douglas's most celebrated collaborators and friends, such as Danny Devito, Erika Christiansen, Milos Forman, Curtis Hanson, Tobey Maguire, Barbara Walters, as well as Douglas's wife Catherine Zeta-Jones and his father, the legendary Kirk Douglas, with a special performance by Michael's longtime-friend singer/songwriter Jimmy Buffett, plus film clips commemorating Douglas's lauded career.

Ken Ludwig's comedy LEND ME A TENOR will conclude its limited Broadway engagement on Sunday August 15 at the end of the actors' contracts. An extension through Labor Day is under discussion and subject to the actors' schedules.

Last week, cast members of LEND ME A TENOR were joined on stage by an unwanted furry friend, who dashed across the stage during a scene between Tony Shalhoub and Justin Bartha during a hotel scene. After hearing of the incident, PETA offered to help, and sent a letter to Jonathan Shulman, the manager of the theater, requesting the use of only humane mouse-control methods. PETA has sent along humane mouse traps that will allow theater staff to catch any future visitors and release them unharmed in a nearby park.
