Casting for Barbra Streisand's new GYPSY film is starting to move beyond rumors and clandestine meetings.

Due to tropical storm Joachim, En Garde Arts has postponed BOSSS, its new site-specific outdoor performance festival featuring new works by some of the New York City's most promising emerging theatre artists, to October 23-25 throughout Hudson River Park. The opening night party at The Frying Pan will now take place on October 23 at 7pm.

Bleeping Crazy Entertainment, after sell out houses at the Cherry Lane Theatre this past June, has announced that WOMEN ARE CRAZY BECAUSE MEN ARE A**HOLES, is coming back to New York this fall.  A raucous and long running comedy that's played over four years of performances in Los Angeles and Chicago will start a fall staging in NYC October 2nd - 25th at the June Havoc Theatre, 312 West 36th St, NYC. When word spread quickly among Nashville's theater community that Nan Gurley had been cast as Mama Rose in Studio Tenn's 2015-16 season opening production of Gypsy, the response was universal: artistic director Matt Logan once again had proven his brilliance. Simply put, Nan Gurley - a member of Nashville theater's first family - was the perfect choice to play the overpowering and flawed mother of stripper/entertainer/author/raconteur Gypsy Rose Lee.

In addition to the presentation of 10 of Ms. Glaspell's plays, audiences are also invited to attend discussions featuring preeminent scholars and speakers from the International Susan Glaspell Society.
