Abingdon Theatre Company will present two world-premiere plays and a new musical in the June Havoc Theatre as part of its 2016-2017 Season of new works by established and emerging writers, marking the first full season programmed by Artistic Director Tony Speciale.

Life Force Arts, Inc. has announced it will stage WHAT WE'RE UP AGAINST, Theresa Rebeck's ever-timely and relevant comedy / drama which examines the intricacies of wage equality and gender roles in the workplace.  The production will run just as the 2016 Presidential debates and ensuing election are underway. Lorca Peress will direct the production that runs October 21 - October 29 at the June Havoc Theatre, 312 West 36th Street, first floor.

George Street Playhouse today announced the cast of Rob Urbinati's Mama's Boy, which runs October 18 through November 6 at the New Brunswick theatre. Betsy Aidem (Broadway's All the Way, GSP's God of Carnage) stars as Marguerite Oswald, the headstrong mother of Lee Harvey Oswald, played by Michael Goldsmith (TV's Doctor Who, Gotham).

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) is proud to present the New Jersey premiere of British playwright Lolita Chakrabarti's multi-award-winning play, Red Velvet. New York Musical Festival (NYMF) presents FREEDOM RIDERS from tonight, July 27th, through August 2nd at June Havoc Theatre (312 W 36th St #1, New York, NY 10018). The official opening is set for tonight, July 27th, at 8PM.

Broadway favorites Luca Padovan, Tracee Beazer, and Kathleen Monteleone will join composer Rob Rokicki for two special NYMF concert events July 31 st and August 2 nd . Rob's music has been described by The New York Times as "sassy" and "energetic" and 'Intelligent, inspired and incredibly relatable' by frequent collaborator Joe Iconis.

The new musical, A SCYTHE OF TIME is being presented as part of the New York Musical Theatre festival at the June Havoc Theatre (312 W 36th Street). A SCYTHE OF TIME is written by Alan Harris with music and lyrics by Mark Alan Swanson. It will be directed by David Alpert (IF/THEN), with musical direction by Ryan Cantwell (National Tour: Pippin, Finding Neverland). The New York Musical Festival (NYMF), previously known as The New York Musical Theatre Festival, has announced that they have partnered with The ASCAP Foundation, The Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME), and SDC Foundation to curate three panel conversations with industry professionals, aimed at providing more insight into the musical development process.

Prospect Theater Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Cara Reichel and Managing Director Melissa Huber, presentsARCHETYPE, a collection of six new mini-musicals, the culminating production of Prospect's 2016 Musical Theater Lab (the company's 10th lab production).  ARCHETYPE will play from July 27 - 31 at The Theater at the 14th Street Y (344 East 14th Street @ 1st Ave., NYC).

The New York Musical Festival and Hypokrit Theatre Company present Eh Dah? Questions for my Father, a new solo musical by Egyptian-American performing artist Aya Aziz.

?Child film & TV actor Jesse Vanderveer and NYC-based theatre artist and former State Theatre acting camp participant Tristan J. Shuler will perform and speak to the State Theatre Acting Camp students on Monday, July 18th in the State Theatre's main hall. There will be two presentations:  11:30am - 12:30pm for the morning session students and 1:30pm - 2:30pm for the afternoon students.
